Read Our Review of Amy's Album
Recorded at Glasgow's legendary The Barrowlands, Platinum selling UK artist, Amy MacDonald releases a song she described as the "coolest 'non traditional' song there is" which she found especially for her gig at "The Barras" (as the venue is known).
Formerly, as the Rock Ridge press release notes "a ballroom where people would come and dance in the 50's and 60's," Glasgow's Barrowlands, "still retains the old ballroom floor, which is quite bouncy, and old retro decor so there is a nostalgic feel about the place." With "a large flashing neon sign," the venue, which "now houses a weekend market underneath, selling bric a brac, etc." has become an international favorite as "bands [from] all around the world love to play this" intimate 200-capacity, renowned location.
While her debut smash album This is the Life continues to break records, in honor of the holidays, MacDonald has released a bonus song "Fairytale of New York" which fans can stream via Windows Media Audio by clicking here.
